top up scholarships
In a bid to encourage researchers to attract competitive,
peer-reviewed funding to support research programs, MCRI has
established a Research Top Up Funding Scheme whereby a percentage
of successful eligible grants is paid to the Cost Centre through
which the grant is administered. Research Top Up Funding is
provided to researchers to support the ancillary costs related to
research programs and not direct research costs. The distribution
of Research Top Up Funding is totally discretionary to the Director
of the Institute. The percentage may vary from year to year based
on the discretionary funds available: MCRI currently gives
researchers a top up of 5% of the awarded grant revenue receivable
for that year.
