Top award for researcher

17 November 2010

Dr Vera Ignjatovic has received a prestigious Australian Academy of Science Scientific visit to Europe award. Only 69 of these awards are handed out Australia-wide.

The award recognises Vera's development in the area of blood proteomics and will allow her to undertake groundbreaking research at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain that will, for the first time, investigate the differences in the platelet proteins between children and adults. Vera will work alongside platelet proteomics expert Dr Angel Garcia-Alonso.
