Melbourne Rebels show commitment to child health

28 April 2011

This month, Melbourne Rebels players got a behind the scenes glimpse at our life saving research when they toured Murdoch Childrens Research Institute.

Rebel's players, Julian Huxley, Danny Cipriani, Hugh Pyle, Nic Henderson, Cooper Vuna, Luke Holmes, Mark Rowe, Cameron York and Justin Feenstra visited to meet some of our passionate researchers who work in the areas of anaesthetics, MRI, rotavirus and cancer.

The tour also gave the players the opportunity to meet and talk with kids who benefit from our discoveries.

Murdoch Childrens is one of four official charity partners of RaboDirect Melbourne Rebels in 2011, with funds from the proceeds of ticket sales going towards supporting research into conditions such as diabetes, allergies, cancer, premature birth and genetic conditions.
