Dr Rory Wolfe, Chief Investigator, Monash University

Dr Wolfe is Senior Lecturer in Biostatistics at Monash University and has worked as an applied statistician for 8 years in Melbourne providing support for a wide range of epidemiological, public health and clinical research studies. He has maintained strong collaborative links with researchers in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Royal Children's Hospital where he worked for 3 years. He is the CO-director of the Biostatistics Consulting Service at Monash University. He is involved in statistical methodology research with Australian and international collaborators which is motivated by clinical research. He has supervised one clinical PhD student to completion and currently co-supervises two others. He is currently a chief investigator on one NHF and two NH&MRC funded projects. He is involved in teaching statistics to clinical researchers through undergraduate and post-graduate programmes of Monash University and also through short courses and workshops. He is author on 10-15 papers per year and first author on at least one statistical methodology paper per year. Work form his one previous NH&MRC funded project was published in the British Medical Journal.
