Dame Elisabeth Murdoch opened her world-renowned gardens for our Family Picnic Day at Cruden Farm in April 2005. Despite the weather, the day was a great success, with over 800 guests attending to help raise more than $40,000 for our child health research. The gardens were a magnificent backdrop for a day of fantasy and fun. Children and families enjoyed live music, horse and cart rides, Dorothy the Dinosaur, a baby animal farm, celebrity footballers and a host of roving performers. Thanks to the project committee, the development board, our wonderful volunteers and sponsors The Herald Sun, Leader Community Newspapers, Playgro, Fenton Communications, Cadburry Schweppes, Café Racer, Marshall White, Cheviot Bridge and Kraft.
