This year’s Discovery Day at Cruden farm was a wonderful success, with $100,000 raised for child health research to help children live happier, healthier lives Despite early showers the weather held out and more than 2,500 people came to enjoy the free activities and entertainment to ‘Get Active!’. This was our biggest Discovery Day ever, with a special performance by Hi-5 – the first in their new lineup. We were also treated to performances by Active Kidz, DJ Southwick and Jazzmin and Friends. With other entertainment including roving performers, Dora the Explorer, face painting, Anaconda rock climbing wall, craft by Spotlight, Leader cupcake decorating, market stalls, and sports clinics from SOCCERWISE®, Ready Steady Go! and Western Bulldogs the day was a wonderful success. Thank you to our generous sponsors, donors, supporters, event committee, happy helpers and all guests who made Discovery Day 2009 a great success. Special thanks to our Patron Dame Elisabeth Murdoch AC DBE who once again generously shared her beautiful Cruden Farm with us all. 100 per cent of proceeds raised from this event will seed fund important new research projects into conditions such as allergy, cancer, obesity, diabetes and premature birth.
