Not even the prospect of Melbourne's coldest day this year could deter a field of 60 passionate golfers from braving the elements to raise funds for the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute at a charity golf day hosted by The Heritage Golf and Country Club.
Players enjoyed the opportunity to play on a world class course as well as the many on course activities such as wine tasting, massage, golfing competitions and a sumptuous gourmet BBQ.
Scorecards aside, the Murdoch Childrens was the clear winner with more than $17,000 being raised to fund innovative and exciting research projects to prevent or treat conditions such as asthma, cancer, cerebral palsy and adolescent depression.
