More than 80 golfing enthusiasts teed up at The Heritage Golf and Country Club for the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute on Thursday 31 January 2008.

A total of 23 teams competed in the event, representing Charter Mason, KPMG, Piper Alderman, Mercedes, Sportsbet, Canterbury Partners, Hall & Wilcox, Rees Advisory Group, Sportsco and Visy among others.

Melissa Timbs, Sean Pratt, Wesley Fan and team captain Craig Anderson from NAB Health were the overall competition winners. In second place were Brendan Jones, Michael Giddins, Michael Goulimis and Nic Hagan from NAB Private. Third place winners were the ABN Amro Morgan team of Paul Martin, Andrew Thompson, Ross Gordon and Andrew Weller.

The Longest Drive competitions were won by Nic Liberman from LJBC Investments and Chris Nash from Nash Management while Andrew Morley from Teska Carson won the Closest to the Water competition. Players were treated to outstanding hospitality including on course massage followed by a delicious barbeque. Thanks to event sponsors Charter Mason for their contribution and the team at The Heritage Golf & Country Club for hosting the event.

Congratulations to the winners and all participants who helped to raise $32,000 for innovative, world class research into conditions affecting babies, children and adolescents.
