Murdoch Childrens Research Institute was the sole official charity of the Portsea Polo, held at the Point Nepean Army Barracks on Saturday 13 January. More than $80,000 was raised for the institute's research into conditions affecting children's health.

5000 spectators including local and international sportspeople, fashion designers, TV stars and AFL players were treated to some of Australia's best polo, great entertainment, fine food and wine.

Kay & Burton invited all its marquee guests to support Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, while the six polo teams sponsored by Country Road, Freeman McMurrick, Kay & Burton, Landrover, Lexus and Maisano also donated their entry fees. Special thanks to the Victorian Polo Club for their ongoing and generous support in organising the event.
