The heat was on as CEOs and staff from some of Australia’s biggest corporations ran in the FOXTEL Lap, raising more than $450,000 for Murdoch Childrens.
Held across five states, the day-long events saw teams of 20 people compete to run or walk as many 100m ‘laps’ as they could to raise money for vital research into childhood conditions including diabetes, obesity, premature birth and cancer.
This year’s 145 participating teams completed more than 140,000 laps in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
The Kailis Bros team in Melbourne was the national winner with an incredible 1509 laps. The RBS Australia team in Sydney was a close second with 1465 laps, while the UBS team in Sydney ran 1416 laps to take home third place nationally.
Murdoch Childrens Ambassador Sarah Murdoch, who is expecting her third child early next year, also took part in the event, walking 21 laps in Sydney.
We thank all the participating corporate teams and runners who worked up a sweat to help make this event a great success.
