The Department of Paediatrics offers a BSc Honours program that takes advantage of the extensive scientific research currently being done in the Department and the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute. Our course provides a unique opportunity for students to join research teams conducting laboratory, clinical and public health research. We are sited at the Royal Children's Hospital, so students are exposed to the most stimulating aspects of University, Institute and Hospital research.
Our course is research-based, with 60% of the final mark determined by a written thesis on the student's research project. In addition there is an advanced lecture course which focuses on concepts and recent advances in "Molecular Biology of Human Development and Disease". An exam of the lecture course accounts for 20% of the total assessment. ![]()
