Monthly seminars

The topics are yet to be confirmed for 2006. The seminars are held in the 10th floor conference rooms, main building. Topics from 2005 included commercialisation, stress and time management, interview techniques and CV writing, bioinformatics and intellectual property.

Annual retreat

A 1.5 day retreat for approximately 60 students and supervisors is held in September each year, with sessions covering career development, research study design, human research ethics, mentoring, etc. Accommodation and meals sponsored by MCRI and Department of Paediatrics, The University of Melbourne. Christmas BBQ

It's time to celebrate the end of year and catch with your fellow post grad students at the Post Grad Student Association Christmas BBQ.

Who - All postgrad students at MCRI and RCH
When - Friday 9th December, 12pm
Where - BBQ's outside back caf
What - Usual BBQ food, drinks and nibblies plus door prizes!
Cost - free!
