special events
You can support the Murdoch Childrens and have a great time at
one of our many special events.
Murdoch Childrens has been the official charity partner of the
Portsea Polo since 2005. The glamorous event combines the
traditionally aristocratic sport with the best food, wine, sun, the
outdoors, and picturesque Port Nepean.
This family friendly event sees our Patron Dame Elisabeth
Murdoch open her gardens at Cruden Farm to raise money for the
Murdoch Childrens. Each year about 3,000 people attend the family
day to enjoy the activities, food and entertainment.
The FOXTEL Lap corporate treadmill and spin bike challenge is a
one-day event that sees corporate teams in capital cities across
the country run or ride as many 'laps' as they can to raise
funds Murdoch Childrens.
Held biennially, Art for Science is an art exhibition and
auction where creativity, philanthropy and corporate Australia came
together to support child health research. The event features
donated works from the country's most prominent, established and
early career contemporary artists.
Our regular Discovery Tours, hosted by the development board of
the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, take you behind the
scenes to meet the passionate researchers responsible for our life
changing discoveries.
Visit the gait lab where researchers use high tech equipment to
measure how children with cerebral palsy walk. Learn how magnetic
resonance imaging (MRI) shows inside the developing brains of
premature babies. Or hear from researchers who are measuring the
effect of anaesthesia on babies.
Tours are followed by drinks and canapés. Corporate groups are
welcome. Tour bookings are essential. To register your
interest for a Discovery Tour, please contact;
