About the CLARITY team

We are located in level 5 of Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) in the Genes, Environment & Complex Diseases Group, Cell Biology Theme.

Jane Munro
Jane is a paediatric rheumatologist and Head of the Paediatric Rheumatology Unit at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. She is Principal Investigator of ANZ-CLARITY. She is passionate about conducting research that will improve the care of her patients. She loves working with children and young people and their families. She is also a mum to three kids who keep her on her toes, and she loves reading, planning events and trips, exercising and cooking. 

Joanna Cobb
Joanna is the Principal Investigator of ANZ-CLARITY along with Jane. She completed a PhD at The University of Melbourne, then moved to Manchester UK to conduct research into JIA. After 6 years of Manchester's cloudy skies and drizzle, she decided to return to sunny Melbourne, and joined the ANZ-CLARITY team in 2017. In her time away from research she enjoys going for brunch and reading stories to her two young children.

Tria Williams
Tria is a senior research nurse working on ANZ-CLARITY. She has worked at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Murdoch Children’s Hospital for a very long time as a paediatric nurse. Since 2005, Tria has worked as the Rheumatology nurse looking after patients and their families living with JIA. When Tria is not working she is hanging out with her three daughters.

Taylor Mills 
Taylor is a research assistant on the ANZ CLARITY team. She has completed a Bachelor of Arts with honours at the University of Melbourne. Taylor's honours project involved working In a hospital setting performing clinical interviews with study participants. Prior to joining the team in 2018 Taylor worked as a research assistant at the University of Melbourne and volunteered at MCRI recruiting children and families for research studies. In her spare time, Taylor enjoys musical theatre, spending time at the beach and anything involving the outdoors.
