Over the past seven years BIG W have made an enormous contribution to Heart Research, raising over $1.3 million through a range of fundraising initiatives.
Unfortunately heart disease remains the leading killer of children under the age of five, with 1 in 100 children born with a heart problem. BIG W’s commitment and leadership in tackling this issue is immense, and has allowed us to build a team and resources to undertake world class research.
We are deeply grateful for the commitment, passion and enthusiasm that the BIG W team bring to their fundraising and our team love the opportunity to thank store managers personally when they visit Murdoch Children's each year to see our research first hand.
Foxtel has generously supported Murdoch Children's Research Institute for 10 years. Through the Foxtel Lap, Step-a-thon and Philanthropic support, Foxtel has contributed more than $6M in fundraising whilst also providing significant media and advertising support. This contribution has been vital and has helped our researchers tackle the most difficult health challenges facing our children today.
Foxtel remains dedicated to active and healthy children and over the coming years will work alongside Murdoch Children's to develop programs to continue to build strong healthy communities.
