GenV

Professor Melissa Wake leads GenV (Generation Victoria) - the biggest study following parents and newborn babies this century.  GenV will be open to all families who have a newborn baby in Victoria over a 2-year period from 2021. It brings together new and existing data and samples, to detect trends and patterns in health and wellbeing and to help deliver better prediction, prevention and treatments and more equitable services. GenV data will deliver a broader, deeper evidence base about the effects of COVID-19, the disruptions it involves and the effectiveness of various interventions to mitigate it.
