Associate Professor Andrew Steer has been named the 2016 recipient of the prestigious Frank Fenner Award. Presented at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases (ASID), the award is the highest accolade given by the society in recognition of outstanding advanced research in infectious diseases.

The Melbourne Children’s Campus continues to cement itself as a leader in genomics, welcoming Professor John Christodoulou as Chair in Genomic Medicine. The new role, a joint appointment between Murdoch Children's Research Institute and the University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, will oversee the Centre for Genomic Medicine and drive the integration of genomics into clinical practice on the Melbourne Children’s Campus and beyond.
