The work of Murdoch Children's Research Institute extends beyond our national borders. Many of the Institute’s researchers work in developing communities, combatting diseases and infections that cause premature death in children. A/Professor Andrew Steer is dedicated to finding a treatment for Group A Streptococcus (GAS), working predominantly in the Pacific region, including in Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and the Solomon Islands.
