Meet the CheckPoint team

Investigators

Growing Up in Australia's Child Health CheckPoint is led by Professor Melissa Wake at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. Professor Wake has played a key role in designing the health aspects of Growing Up in Australia since its inception in 2002. Alongside her is a large investigator team, comprising researchers from the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, The Royal Children's Hospital, Deakin University, University of South Australia, University of Sydney, Australian National University, University of Tasmania, University of Western Australia, Adelaide University, the National University of Singapore, Oxford University, the Burnett Institute, the Children's Hospital Westmead, The George Institute for Global Health and the Singapore National Eye Centre. In addition, there is representation from the Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS) and the Government Department of Social Services (DSS) - the government agencies who oversee Growing Up in Australia. Assisting the investigator team is the project team. The project team is led by Dr Susan Clifford and based at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. The project team manage the day-to-day running of the project.
