Graduate Certificate in the Diagnosis and Assessment of FASD

 

Applications are now open for the 2021 intake of the Graduate Certificate in the Diagnosis and Assessment of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) run through the University of Western Australia (UWA). 

This year the online program will be offered nationally and internationally to clinicians with a background in psychology, speech pathology, social work, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, medicine and other relevant disciplines.

The aim of the course is to provide students with the specialist knowledge and clinical skills required to participate in team-based assessment and diagnosis of FASD. You are invited to attend the launch of the Victorian Fetal Alcohol Service (VicFAS) and guest lecture by visiting Professor Dorothy Badry from the University of Calgary, Canada.

The event will feature international guest speaker Professor Dorothy Badry, a FASD expert from the University of Calgary, Canada. It aims to attract professionals accross sectors including: health, allied health, community and human services, child protection, justice, education, mental health, drug and alcohol, early intervention, disability, as well as parents and carers and people with lived experience of FASD.
