- You will be instructed to create an account and complete the required information. Here you will need your Ref: ID Number which is provided in the subject line of our email correspondence
- After submitting the application, Fit2Work will process your application
- A result usually returns within three (3) business days, however, on occasions it could take up to four (4) weeks to return with a result. It is important that you complete the Fit2Work online form as soon as possible.
International employees
If you have not lived in Australia within the past six (6) months, an International Police Clearance will be required from the country you last lived in.
You can provide your own certified/notarised Police Clearance if it was conducted within the last 12 months or you can complete a new check through Fit2Work. Fit2Work will prompt you to add the country, or countries, you have lived in. Once selected, these forms will automatically be added as part of your Police Check.
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Victorian-based employees
Note: The following information regarding the WWCC applies only to staff based in Victoria. If you are working in another state and need a WWCC from that state, please contact the recruitment team.
Depending on your eligibility, you may be able to complete a Check fully online via Services Victoria. People engaging in paid work require an Employee status WWCC and those completing unpaid work require a Volunteer status check
A copy of a payment receipt or confirmation email from the Victorian WWCC email address ([email protected]) must be uploaded to your candidate profile
Ensure that you email us confirming you have uploaded this document.
International employees
If you are an International Visitor, you will need to complete the above steps as soon as you arrive in Australia. When you lodge your application at the Australia Post Outlet, you will need to provide them with:
- Your visa documentation
- Confirmation of accommodation in Australia
- International Passport
Already have a current Working with Children Check?
If you have a current Employee WWCC, please upload a copy to your candidate profile.
Update your details on Service Victoria and add Murdoch Children’s Research Institute or Victorian Clinical Genetic Services as an associated organisation.
You have to update your details with Working with Children Check Victoria within 21 days.
If you’re changing from volunteer to paid work, you’ll need to apply for a volunteer to employee check, as it’s against the law to use a volunteer check for paid work with children.
