Professor Catroppa is an international leader in childhood traumatic brain injury. In addition to her active contribution to research, she has shown clinical leadership in her supervision and mentoring of research and clinical students, researchers, and interns (national and international) and junior staff. She also has strong national and international collaborations, including several projects for which she is Chief investigator.
With regard to service, Professor Catroppa has worked on the Royal Children’s Hospital campus for over 30 years (1989-2001 full-time, and since then on a part-time basis). During this time, she has maintained a strong affiliation with the University of Melbourne, including extensive supervision of Honour’s, Master’s, and PhD students. She has been invited to provide lectures to undergraduate students, gaining Honorary status at RCH and the University of Melbourne (Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences and Department of Paediatrics).
