GenV is Australia’s largest study of children and parents. We aim to enhance child and parent health, development, and wellbeing across Australia by offering valuable insights into early childhood and mid-life age groups. This information will help us evaluate our population’s health and expand current and future Commonwealth policy initiatives.

This Pre-Budget Submission highlights GenV’s aim to make child and parent cohort data accessible to researchers and policymakers, with support from the Commonwealth. The population-based dataset will help measure the impact of key policies and guide policymakers to make ongoing improvements, enabling timely adjustments and targeted interventions.

The insights gained from GenV will benefit priority populations, especially those facing disadvantage, and promote evidence-based decision-making and effective resource allocation.
