About the stem cells
These haematopoietic stem cells (iHSC) produce multilineage bone marrow engraftment when transplanted into immune-deficient mice, making them a valuable platform for studying haematological and immunological disease, modelling blood development, and evaluating novel therapeutic approaches without reliance on primary patient material.
By generating iHSCs from both patient-derived and control iPSC lines, researchers can also investigate the effects of patient-specific genetic variants.
Our service offering
Our standard service differentiates iPSC lines into a minimum of 50 × 10⁶ CD34+ iHSCs per iPSC line. Cells are supplied in aliquots of 5 × 10⁶ cells or greater, depending on project requirements.
Quality control
All iHSC preparations undergo comprehensive quality control before release, including flow cytometry analysis for the expression of:
- CD34
- CD45
- CD90
- CD201
- c-Kit (CD117)
This ensures consistent cell identity and quality for downstream research applications.
