LimbDREAM - Limb Deformity Registry of Experience, Aspirations and Measurement
- Project status: Active
Research area: Clinical Sciences > Orthopaedics
LimbDREAM is a national registry for children needing limb reconstructive surgery for complex lower limb conditions.
Our mission is to improve the treatment outcomes and quality of life of children living with complex lower limb conditions.
Many of these conditions are very rare and cause changes in the shape of the bones or joints, which can affect function, cause pain and alter the appearance of the limb.
The registry collects data on patient diagnosis, treatment goals, and surgical procedures. It also captures the patient’s perspective through regular surveys.

Our goal is to standardise treatment methods used in limb reconstruction and improve the quality of life for children living with these complex conditions.
LimbDREAM is led by orthopaedic surgeons at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), in partnership with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI).
Our team of researchers and clinicians is dedicated to improving care for children and families affected by these conditions.
