Dr. Aishwarya N. Shetty, is an epidemiologist specializing in vaccine safety surveillance at SAEFVIC (Victoria's Vaccine Safety Service). She leads the SAFESIG GP syndromic surveillance platform and investigates vaccine safety alerts in large general practice as well as spontaneous reporting datasets, contributing to the safety profiles of various vaccines, including COVID-19 vaccines. She holds a Master’s in Public Health from Monash University and a Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery from the College of Dental Sciences. She has experience as a Teaching Associate at Monash University, mentoring students and developing course content.
