I'm a passionate genetics educator and researcher, science communicator and evaluator with over 20 years' international experience in science education, medical research, multimedia production, online learning and evaluation.

My doctoral work investigated the use of technology to teach genetics in Australian high schools, with a focus on learning designs and classroom observation methodologies. I've conducted national and international research that helped to develop, deliver and improve education programs and resources, gauge impact, and secure further funding. My research publications have over 2500 citations to date. I've produced numerous science learning materials and segments for school, professional and public audiences, via in-person, TV, film, radio, online, app and mobile sectors, garnering millions of views, visits and downloads.

I sit on several national and international committees to inform health professional education and public science outreach initiatives.
In my current roles I help develop the workforce to make genomic testing part of routine health care.
