Anja Ravine is a biomedical researcher with a clinical background in general paediatrics, clinical genetics and genetic pathology. As a researcher, Anja completed higher degree research training at the the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) and Victorian Clinical Genetics Service (VCGS), before transferring to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
On returning to Australia, Anja’s clinical-academic career continued on, initially with PathWest and University of Western Australia; as the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia’s chief examiner in genetic pathology, and subsequently as a genetic pathologist at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney.
Anja has recently rejoined MCRI, this time focussed on research directed towards improving health outcomes for trans and gender diverse young people.
