A/Prof Belinda McClaren is a Senior researcher with Genomics in Society, with research areas focusing on genomic workforce, implementation science, education and ethics, based at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. She has extensive experience in mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative) research with research interests including: family communication of genetic information, support needs of couples after prenatal diagnosis of fetal abnormality, psychosocial impacts of genetic diagnoses, implementation science and genetics education in primary care.

A/Prof Belinda McClaren is also the local academic coordinator for the Department of Paediatrics Honours and Master of Biomedical Science Programs. Dr McClaren is co-chair of the Master of Genomics and Health; she has responsibility for Professional Practice subject coordination and the facilitation of capstone internships.
