Role PhD Student
Research area Population Health
Brooklyn joined MCRI in early 2024 as a PhD student with the Intergenerational Health Group. Brooklyn's PhD project uses longitudinal data from the Mothers and Young Peoples' Study to explore causal pathways between patterns of socioeconomic position and mothers' and children's health.

Brooklyn's research uses quantitative methods to identify the role of social determinants, particularly violence and childhood adversity, in women’s health over the lifecourse. Brooklyn is keen to advance understanding of healthy development both throughout the lifecourse and intergenerationally, and to identify key areas for prevention and intervention efforts to support equitable health outcomes.
