Dr Courtney B. Munro is a Senior Research Officer in Health Services and Economics, Population Health, at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI). She also holds Honorary Fellow appointments in Gynaecology at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne. Her work bridges clinical and systems-level research with a focus on improving access, experience, and outcomes of care for children and adolescents with menstrual pain. She is the Project Coordinator and a Chief Investigator for LongSTEPPP (the Longitudinal Study of Teens with Endometriosis, Period, and Pelvic Pain – Australia), funded by the Medical Research Future Fund.

Dr Munro completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne, investigating early biomarkers of aminoglycoside-induced nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity in cystic fibrosis, and holds a Master of Pharmacy Practice. She actively contributes to policy and practice as a member of the Under-Recognised Pain Research Stream of the MCRI Pain Flagship and as a trained family engagement researcher (McMaster University).
