Dr Danielle Longmore is a paediatrician and paediatric endocrinologist with over 20 years clinical experience. Danielle works as a consultant paediatric endocrinologist at The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) in Melbourne. She is a post-doctoral clinician researcher at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI), and lead researcher on obesity, metabolic health and youth-onset type 2 diabetes.
Danielle has worked in clinical care, clinical research, health leadership and public health. She hopes to improve the health and wellbeing of young people living with endocrine conditions, specifically those affected by youth-onset type 2 diabetes, which together with obesity, form my areas of clinical and research interest. Danielle is particularly interested in the social/structural determinants of health and their impact on non-communicable diseases.
Danielle is a Clinical Scientist Fellow generously funded by the Good Friday Appeal.
