A/Prof Georgie Paxton OAM MBBS (Hons), BMedSci, MPH, FRACP is a paediatrician with more than 20 years experience in child refugee and migrant health. She is based at the Royal Children's Hospital, and holds appointments at the University of Melbourne and Murdoch Children's Research Institute. Georgie has held advisory roles with the Department of Home Affairs from 2013, including an appointment to the Minister's Council for Asylum Seekers and Detention (2015-18); and the Department of Health and Ageing (from 2020), with a current appointment on the Multicultural Health Advisory group. She has recently been appointed to the inaugural WHO Technical Advisory Group on Health, Migration and Displacement (from 2025).

Georgie has expertise in refugee health, migration health screening, child development and disability, immunisation systems, vitamin D and clinical nutrition. Alongside clinical work, she has led guidelines in refugee health, vitamin D policy, and immunisation program delivery in primary care and local government. She has published more than 40 academic papers and multiple government reports in refugee health.

A/Prof Georgie Paxton OAM MBBS (Hons), BMedSci, MPH, FRACP is a paediatrician with more than 20 years experience in child refugee and migrant health. She is based at the Royal Children's Hospital, and holds appointments at the University of Melbourne and Murdoch Children's Research Institute.
