Karly has been a researcher with the Centre for Adolescent Health at Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) since 2010. Her research focus is global adolescent health epidemiology, with a specific interest in non-communicable diseases and their risk factors.
Karly holds tertiary qualifications in Psychology and Epidemiology and has expertise in social determinants of health, intimate partner violence, health equity, research methodology, and prevention science, and is a collaborator on the Global Burden of Disease Study.
Karly is the 2024 co-chair of the Emerging Leaders Network, a peer-led network of adolescent health early career researchers.
