Dr Monika Raniti is a Research Fellow and Team Leader at the Centre for Adolescent Health and Centre for Research Excellence (Driving Global Investment in Adolescent Health) at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and the ALIVE National Centre for Mental Health Research Translation at the University of Melbourne. She is also a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, a member of the Australian Psychological Society, and an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne.
Monika conducts research at the interface of adolescent mental health, prevention, and school and community systems. Since 2019, she has also led a series of policy-relevant projects for UN agencies and national and international government Departments of Health and Education. For example, she was the lead author of WHO and UNESCO’s global standards for health-promoting schools which were launched in 2021 and have since been adopted by several countries.
Monika's work has featured in the media such as The Conversation, The Mental Elf, and ABC Radio National and she regularly presents to researchers, policy makers, and practitioners.
