Dr Nandi Vijayakumar is a Senior Research Fellow with a joint appointment across the School of Psychology at Deakin University and the Centre for Adolescent Health at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI).
She also holds an honorary appointment in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne. Her program of research uses longitudinal methods to examine risk and resilience factors for youth mental health and wellbeing, with a focus on biological mechanisms and social determinants.
She is a Chief Investigator on the Child to Adult Transitions Study at the Centre for Adolescent Health, and she leads the neuroimaging sub-study (Imaging of the Child to Adult Transitions Study – Young Adults).
