Investigating ethical, legal, and social implications

This study investigates the ethical, legal, and social implications associated with sharing genomic data. The study focuses on understanding pathways to patient and public trust, identifying necessary legal or regulatory reforms, and creating a robust governance framework to guide the responsible use and management of genomic and associated medical data.

Leading bioethics research

The MCRI Biomedical Ethics research group is co-leading the bioethics aspect of the Lineage Study, focusing on genomic privacy and trust. This research aims to ensure that genomic data is managed responsibly and ethically, fostering trust among patients and the public.
