Policy and Equity
Prof Jon Quach is interested in research at the health and education interface. Drawing upon the fundamental understanding that children’s health, development and learning are intrinsically linked, he aims to determine how children's academic outcomes are shaped by common health and development inequities during the early years of primary school, and what interventions can be used within primary schools to address these inequities.
He conducts large scale, efficacy and effectiveness randomised controlled trials of promising interventions to understand their impact and implementation when scaled. He also leads several projects that aim to evaluate policy initiatives that aim to improve outcomes for all students during the primary school years.
